Choosing Energy Efficient Window’s doesn’t need to be complicated…
IntelliGlassReplacing your windows is the single-most effective way to reduce energy costs in your home. But, not all new windows will perform to your expectations. By choosing windows with an IntelliGlass high-performance glazing system, you ensure energy savings for you an your home.

IntelliGlass Standard
The standard IntelliGlass package features Solar Control Low E Glass, Intercept insulating spacer system, and argon gas filling.intelliglass_map

This powerful combination will make your home more comfortable year round.

By adding the basic IntelliGlass high-performance glazing system to your new windows, you can save up to 49% on your home’s energy consumption.

IntelliGlass Plus
By adding another pane of Solar Control Low E Glass and another argon filled cavity, IntelliGlass Plus boosts the performance of your windows.

Solar Control Low E Glass blocks a significant amount of UV rays. With two surfaces of Low E, IntelliGlass Plus virtually eliminates damage to your flooring, drapes, and furniture caused by harmful UV radiation.

Performance Values
The windows you are replacing probably have single pane or dual pane clear glass. Let’s look at what performance standards we measure and how your old windows (didn’t) perform.

Visible Light Transmittance (VLT) IntelliGlass high-performance glazing systems allow a great deal of visible, natural light in, yet provide glare control in bright, sunny climates. The higher the percent, the more light is passing through the glass.
Single Pane – 67% – Dual Pane Clear – 63%

U-Factor measures how well a product prevents heat from escaping. The rate of heat loss is indicated in terms of the U-Factor (U-Value) of a window assembly. The lower the U-value, the greater the window’s resistance to heat flow and the better its insulating value.
Single Pane – .83 – Dual Pane Clear – .46

Solar Heat Gain Coefficient (SHGC) Solar radiation, whether directly transmitted or absorbed and re-radiated, can make a room too hot. IntelliGlass high-performance glazing systems cut unwanted solar heat gain. The lower a window’s solar heat gain coefficient, the less solar heat it transmits.
Single Pane – .67 – Dual Pane – .62

UV Block Invisible, yet harmful, ultraviolet (UV) rays found in everyday sunlight can damage paint finishes and cause furniture, carpet and window treatments to fade. IntelliGlass high-performance glazing systems block these rays. The higher the percent, the more harmful UV rays being blocked.
Single Pane – 29% – Dual Pane Clear – 39%
